COMMUNITY GROUPS
Various Frequencies and Times
Community Groups are the best way to meet others and build community at Christ Fellowship Church. Each group is different in how often they meet and what they focus on when they do meet. Although Community Groups do have a spiritual focus, their main focus is not spiritual formation but community building. This is why you will find our community groups to be more casual and socially-focused and our discipleship groups to be more structured and spiritually-focused.
Discipleship groups
Weekly, Various Times
Discipleship Group are gender-specific groups of 3-6 men or women who gather weekly to memorize a verse and study a passage of Scripture, apply the gospel to all of life, hold one another accountable to Christian growth, and pray together. New groups constantly form, but groups are closed once they start. Groups last three years, and are then expected to multiply. Members commit to a year at a time. You can check out the curriculum for the first year here. Additional discipleship resources can be found here. Please watch the video below for more information.
one on one mentoring
Various Frequencies and Times
One on one mentoring happens between one older man and one younger man or one older woman and one younger woman to focus on growing through specific issues in your spiritual life. Mentoring pairs will meet at least once a month to discuss specific topics through a book or any topic of your choice. Mentorship is great for those seeking to live life on life with someone ahead of you in life. We recommend mentoring pairs to start organically, but we can help you get connected as well.
