Church Membership
We believe church membership is both biblical and important. It is an individual's way of committing to a body of believers and a body of believers' way of committing to an individual. Membership at CFC is not about having your name on a roll, but belonging to a people. If you would like to join, here is the process:
Step 1: Attend Discovering CFC
This once a quarter class shares our church's history, vision, values and beliefs. You'll discover more about us and we hope to discover a little more about you too. After the class, we enjoy dinner together. You can find out when the next class is offered on our Major Events page.
Step 2: Watch Discovering Church Membership
This one hour class shares a biblical vision for church membership and why we think it is important for every Christian to be a member of a local church. You can watch the class here.
Step 3: Apply For Membership
After you attend Discovering CFC, you will be emailed a link to a membership application. This isn't meant to be overly thorough or intimidating. We just want to get to know you and hear more about your journey of faith.
Step 4: Begin Serving
Serving is an important part of membership at CFC. It is one of the ways we care for one another. After you apply for membership, a pastor will be in touch to help you discover which service team (Worship, Tech, Operations, Connections, Students and Kids) would be the best fit for you.
Step 5: Meet with Elders
After you've started serving, we will schedule a time for you to sit down with two of our elders. It's important to us that you don't feel like a number here, so we want to get to know you better and let you have a chance to ask any remaining questions about membership at CFC.
Step 6: Congregational Welcome
After this, we will schedule a time for you to join the church during a Sunday worship service. After this, we will introduce you again at our next quarterly members meeting.
